The tail-end of October warrants an absolute makeover — because the spooky season is here, and the anticipation is palpable. Instagram is abounding with Halloween-themed looks to recreate on the 31st — and we couldn’t help but curate a fine line-up of the scariest aesthetics to take cues from. Ahead — Instagram’s very best display of vampire makeup ideas along with the best makeup products to recreate them with. What are you waiting for? Go right ahead and add these to your mood board.

7 Of The Best Vampire Makeup Ideas Coming Right Up

Ahead — the spookiest vampire makeup looks you’ve never seen.

1. Bleached Badass

While Halloween calls for heavy-handed flicks of eyeliner, eyeshadow, and face paint, bleaching the brows is another ball game altogether — and though this look is centred around the aesthetic, you don’t have to commit to it for more than a couple of hours.

Set the base of your look with a foundation that’s two or three shades lighter than your skin tone to mimic the ‘drained-of-blood,’ kind of pale aesthetic. For the brows — all you have to do is go over them with a full-coverage foundation or concealer, and continue dabbing until you've 'bleached' (read: concealed) your brows completely. Brush your eyebrows lightly with a spoolie to add texture to them. Smear some metallic white all over the lids to add a pop of shimmer to the look.

For the lips — smear a berry-red all over your pout — apply it unevenly to some parts that are darker than others — and use your fingers to stipple some underneath the sides of the lip as well as over the Cupid’s Bow.

Use: Manish Malhotra Soft Matte Lipstick — Berry Fantasy

This berry-red, high-shine lipstick boasts a velvet-textured finish that feels luxurious on the lips. It’s dreamy, light-as-air, and infused with tropical oil that makes your pout feel petal-soft and supple.

2. Wicked Wings - Vampire Makeup

There — the heavy-handed flick of eyeliner. Talk about heavy eye makeup. Go over your face with a liquid-based, matte-textured foundation that’s a little lighter than your skin tone. Smear a shimmering bronze all over the lids before creating the thickest flicks with jet-black eyeliner. Conclude by applying a gloss-packed pink on the lips — and, hey, don’t forget the fangs!

Use: MyGlamm Manish Malhotra Beauty Glitter Eyeliner — Black Moon

This eyeliner pencil will bring you the moon — not even the stars. Highly pigmented and transfer-proof, it boasts a metallic finish, and will not budge from the eyes for 12 hours straight. What are you waiting for? Get it now!

3. Runny Rage - Vampire Makeup

If you don’t like bold vampire eye makeup too much, this red-lipped, red-eyed aesthetic is one of the easiest to recreate. Drench your lids in a bright hue of red, and create cat-eye wings on each lid. Brush your brows outward with a spoolie before moving on to the lips. Pick a blood-red lip bullet, and apply it all over. To recreate the blood trickling down the sides of the mouth, you can use a liquid-based lipstick of the same colour, and smear it a tad with your fingers — or even opt for a face paint or blusher depending on your preference. That’s it.

Use: MyGlamm LIT Glossy Liquid Eyeliner — Black Party

This is a midnight jet-black liner crafted for all-event-approved eyes. It’s bold, dramatic, and ultra-pigmented. If you’re looking for something that glimmers and glides on smoothly, this one is it for you.

4. Teary Tornado - Vampire Makeup

If you lean more toward hues of black, you might want to take cues from this look. Notice how the lids are bathed in splashes of black — and the under-eye area is smeared with streaks of tears. All you have to do is transfer a little bit of black from your palette onto a brush, and concentrate the pigment on the lids. Brush it in, and extend it to the under-eye area. For the tears, you can mix some eyeshadow or face paint with a little bit of water to make the consistency runny and light. Use a thin, fine-tipped brush to recreate the tears.

Now — the ombre-ish situation unravelling all over the lips might intimidate you, but it’s easy to mimic. Just line your lips with a black lip liner. Make this line a little thick on the edges — essentially filling in each corner with some of the colour. Fill in the centre of your lips with  blood-red lipstick. Don’t go too far out toward the black. Build the edges and corners with more of the black, and use the same fine-tipped brush to gradually melt the colours into each other. You can recreate the fangs-like aesthetic with some white out of your palette. There — your entire look in a few steps. This one’s our favourite Halloween vampire makeup idea.

Use: Manish Malhotra Beauty By MyGlamm 9 In 1 Eyeshadow Palette — Rendezvous

A corsage of glitter-packed and matte-textured shades, this palette by Manish Malhotra features high-impact, ultra-pigmented colours, including a shade of black, boasting the finest of textures. One swipe and you’re sporting the prettiest shade on the lids. Get it ASAP!

5. Wounded Vamp

Notice how blush spans the entire cheekbone — right up until the under-eyes. Use a rose-tinted blusher to create this effect, and with a little bit of red lipstick or face–paint, create light, wispy streaks using a fine-edged brush. For the lids — try finding a shade that’s similar to the colour of the blusher, and embellish your eyes with it.

Dust lots of highlighter on the nose, and coat your lips in a purple-ish lipstick. To create the illusion of a cut that’s bleeding, mix some jet-black eyeliner with red lipstick before applying it on the lip as well as the chin. Once the cut has been made, use a tube of fake blood to play into the effect even more. And you’re done.

Use: MyGlamm Spotlight Illuminating Liquid — Stardust

Tease the high points of the face and inner corners of the eye with this veil of shimmer. This glow-inducing elixir endows your skin with a high-shine, dewy-dumpling aesthetic that feels and looks natural and understated.

6. Goth Gal

A minimalist vampire Halloween makeup look for the ones who don’t want to go all in. Simply fill in your lips with a black lipstick, and layer some red on to create a subtle ombre situation. Add a tinge of black to the eyes, and fasten a set of falsies to the lashes. This one’s such an easy vampire makeup look.

Use: MyGlamm LIT Liquid Matte Lipstick — JOMO

This lip colour is infused with Moringa Oil — so your lips are always hydrated, supple, and healthy. No stickiness. No discomfort. It’s smudge-proof as well as transfer-proof and carries the promise of an opaque, smooth, and crease-free application.

7. Dotted Damsel

Set the base of your eyes with black eyeshadow — going over your brow bone with the colour too. Layer the under-eye area with the same colour. With a red eyeliner, create wings on either eye. Do your lips the way the steps are mentioned in the ombre-lipped aesthetic, and tie it all together by stippling your cheeks with blood-red dots.

Use: MyGlamm LIT Liquid Matte Lipstick — Fire

This lip colour is infused with the richest shade of red. It’s enriched with lip-loving Moringa Oil and glides onto your lips effortlessly — leaving no stickiness behind.
