Deepika Padukone Look Inspired From Padmavati

After many hiccups, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic movie ‘Padmaavat’ was released in India. The trademark Bhansali treatment involves spectacular sets, stunning costumes and amazing looks created with attention to every minute detail. It was no surprise that Deepika Padukone’s look garnered a lot of appreciation. The epic period drama has Deepika playing the famous queen Padmini or Padmavati of Rajasthan who was known for her ethereal beauty.

The actress’ look in the movie was majestic and extravagant, and she looked every bit as enchanting as the queens of the bygone era. Right from her clothes to jewellery, makeup and small details like the unibrow, everything was kept in mind to ensure Deepika’s look is up to the mark and impeccable.

Her makeup is kept subtle with focus drawn towards her best features like eyes and chiselled face. The contouring is almost not visible as nude colours are used to enhance her sharp features without making it obvious. Deepika looks like a goddess in soft smoky eyes paired with nude lips and dewy skin. The makeup in earthy tones has been kept neutral and natural. We are completely in love with Deepika Padukone’s look in the film.

It has become an inspiration for many brides. Take some wedding makeup inspiration from the regal and extravagant look.

Your step-by-step guide to create the look:

Step 1:

Apply Jet Set Eyes kajal on the entire eye rim starting from your lower lash line. Next, apply bronzer from the Chisel It Show Stopper face highlighter palette on the eye crease.

Step 2:

Pat eyeshadow on the centre of the eyelids. Spread evenly across both the lids. Now, apply highlighter on the inner corners of the eyes.

Dab some Stay Defined Brow powder on the outer corners of your eyelids. Smudge using a shader brush.

Step 3:

Create a clean winged eyeliner and fill in the brows using the Stay Defined liquid eyeliner + HD brow powder. Intensify the black colour on the lower lash line with kohl and smudge out with a shader brush.

Step 4:

Brush Glow to Glamour shimmer powder on the high points of the face.

Step 5:

Put on Perfect Curves matte lipstick and voila!

Step 6:

If you want, create a unibrow with the Stay Defined brow powder and finish off the look with a large red bindi.
