It's common these days for celebrities to have dermatologists on speed dial. After all, a large part of making it big in B-Town revolves around looking your best and being camera-ready at all times. However, these days we've been hearing more and more of stars taking the natural route. Spearheading this shift is Mira Rajput who often takes to her social media to share DIYs and home remedies that she swears by.

She recently took to the 'Gram to dish out a few of her DIY skincare secrets to glowing skin. She talks about her favourite DIY recipes for natural radiance so that her fans could benefit from them too. Let's check them out together, shall we?

How To Get Glowing Skin At Home ft. Mira Kapoor

The best part is that all the ingredients she mentioned in the video are homegrown and available in our kitchens. However, she did add a disclaimer saying that these DIY recipes have worked for her, they may not work for everyone's skin type. Hence, it's essential to do a patch test first before giving any of her home remedies a shot. Now, we're listing down all the home remedies she talks about.

Gooey Honey And Powdery Haldi Face Pack

Mira Kapoor suggests mixing a spoon of honey with a pinch of haldi powder. She also stresses that the purer the ingredient, the safer it will be for the skin. Why does this face pack work? Haldi as a beauty ingredient is loved for its anti-inflammatory qualities and brightening properties. It also has antibacterial and antiseptic properties that help to improve the texture of the skin. For supple, bright skin, Mira keeps this pack on for 20 minutes and washes it off with plain water.

How Often: Once or twice a week

Raw Milk And Fresh Rose Water Toner

Before face acids were a thing, Mira Kapoor and her mommy dearest, have been using raw milk on their bare skin. Mira believes that raw milk works wonders for dry skin. It makes the complexion look fresh and hydrated. Since the scent of raw milk is unpleasant, she often mixes it with rose water. She uses a cotton pad to apply the lactic acid mix all over her face, then waits for it to dry and then applies another layer. Both rosewater and raw milk are mild on the skin and ultra-nourishing.

How Often: Every day

Masoor Daal And Milk Body Scrub

While commercial exfoliators can be too harsh on the skin and strip it from its natural oils, Mira has discovered a cool way of making a nourishing body scrub. She mixes both, masoor daal with raw milk and applies the paste all over her body to make the skin smooth and radiant. As a beauty ingredient, masoor dal helps to exfoliate the skin by buffing away dead skin cells. Milk as you know, keeps the skin nourished, moisturised, and oh-so-soft!

How Often: Twice or thrice a week

Besan And Dahi Facial

Mira swears by this facial and judging by the ingredients she uses, we're sure it's effective on the skin. She starts by rubbing her face with lemon (if you have sensitive skin, dilute it with water) and then, washes it off with water. She then proceeds to use a face pack made from besan and dahi. While both these ingredients act as the base for the face pack, she at times recommends mixing it with orange peel powder, neem powder, saffron, or sandalwood powder. After washing the pack off, she rubs her skin with tomato pulp to help with de-tanning and brightening. Finally, finishes it off by applying aloe vera gel. This ingredient makes her skin smooth, soft, and nourished.

How Often: Once in two weeks
