Kylie Jenner's Colourful Quarantine French Manicure Is So Easy To Recreate At Home

Kylie Jenner's Quarantine Nail Art

Leave it to Kylie Jenner to still be the trending topic on social media even when there’s an ongoing pandemic that’s forced the entire world to go into lockdown. Last week, the reality star shocked fans when she ditched her hair extensions and went makeup-free in her Insta selfie. Well, this week Kylie’s back and this time it’s her nail art that's stealing the show. Kylie returned to social media, to show off her quarantine nails and guess what? You don’t need to have a billion dollars in the bank or even wait for the parlors to open again to recreate this design. The socialite added a colourful twist to the basic French manicure. Kylie Jenner’s nails consisted of a matte, nude base with almond-shaped rainbow French tips. This easy-to-do nail art not only proves that minimal can be eye-catching but the bright rainbow colours can also brighten up your mood and it’s just what we all need during these testing times.

Here’s how you can recreate Kylie Jenner’s quarantine nails at home.

Step 1

Begin by applying a basecoat. A basecoat acts as a barrier between your nails and the nail polish. If you are someone who always has nail paint on, a basecoat helps protect your nails from staining and peeling.

Step 2

Once you're done with your basecoat, apply a nude matte nail polish. Begin with the centre and then move on over to the sides. Since matte nail polish dries easily, apply it in thin layers and let it dry before painting on the next coat. Do not apply a gel topcoat as it will ruin the matte finish.

Step 3

It’s time to bring out the colours. After letting the nude matte nail paint dry, go on and paint the edges of your nails with bright matte colours. MyGlamm’s LIT Matte Nail Enamels are just the hues you need to recreate Kylie Jenner's nail art. Painting the edges of your nails might be a bit difficult so try using a striping brush to get a clean finish. Once you're done, apply a matte topcoat to help it last longer.

...and there you go, for your #ManicureMonday, take inspiration from Kylie Jenner and lift your mood with colourful french tips.
