Things you’ll need:-
· Foot scrub
· Nail polish remover
· Nail File
· Nail Clippers
· Cuticle Oil
· Base and
· Your favourite nail polish
The first and foremost thing you need to do is remove your previous nail paint. Use acetone or nail polish remover to get all the nail paint off so that you have a fresh canvas to paint on.
Fill the basin with warm water and add the salt. The salt helps freshen up your feet especially if they are sweaty. If you have a few essential oils lying around the house, you can also go ahead and add a bit in the water.
Using your foot scrub, rub away all the dead skin cells to get moisturized and smooth feet. Make sure to focus on the heels, balls of your feet and don’t forget in-between your toes as well! While scrubbing one foot, remember to keep the other submerged in water.
Once you’re done exfoliating, get your nail cutter and filer. First, start by trimming your nails down to your desired size and later smoothen out the edges with your nail file. Make sure to also remove any dirt hiding behind your nails. Once you’re done dip your feet back in the water.
Next comes the moisturiser. Your foot treatment wouldn’t be complete without a good foot cream. Wipe your feet dry and make sure to massage the product from your toes all the way up to your calves. This will help hydrate and nourish your skin after all that soaking and scrubbing.
Now get your nail paints out and start painting your newly cleaned canvas. Make sure to use a base coat first to ensure the longevity of your polish. Let it dry and then add the nail polish colour. Once you’re done, add a topcoat for gloss and shine.
And finally, once you’re done and your nail paint is all dried you can go ahead and use cuticle oil or cream. This will keep your toenails healthy and also help your nail paint last longer or at least until we're no longer under quarantine and it's safe to go to the parlour again.
