As much as playing Holi is fun, removing the traces of colours from the body is a giant pain. Even after thorough washing and scrubbing, some colourful spots are just too stubborn. There is a solution and it lies in your kitchen. Yup, we are talking about DIY recipes that'll remove all kinds of Holi stains in no time.

DIY Face Packs To Remove Holi Colours

Time to whip out some DIY face pack recipes that'll effectively remove Holi colours without being too abrasive on the skin.

Citrusy Magic

After you've washed your face 3-4 times, give it a break for a few minutes and then wipe it clean using micellar water and then wash your face again.

Now it's time to DIY. In a bowl, add 1 tbsp lemon juice, curd and tomato juice and mix well. And apply this citrusy face pack for 15-20 minutes to effectively remove the colour stains from your face. If it itches in any way, wash off immediately and rub some ice.

Coconut oil is an excellent product to remove makeup and Holi colours too. After washing your face multiple times, try removing as much colour as possible from your face by gently cleaning it with coconut oil.

For stubborn stains, whip up this DIY. In a bowl, add 2 tbsp masoor dal,1 tbsp flour, and mix it well. Next, add 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice and rosewater to turn it into a thick paste. Apply it directly on your face and scrub gently to remove the traces of Holi splatter.

Removing Hoil colours from the scalp can be so difficult. Yes, you can 'hide' it by tieing your hair but not washing off colours from the scalp can lead to many hair woes. So what do we do? we DIY it!

When Life Gives Lemons...

Stand under the shower for a good minute to allow as much colour to wash off as possible and then wash your mane using a cleansing shampoo. squeeze out the excess water from your strands and apply this amazing DIY pack.

In a bowl, add 2 tbsp. curd, 1 tbsp. lemon juice and 1 tbsp. methi seeds powder. Mix everything well and apply it to your scalp for about 20-30 minutes before washing it off.

If you have made sure to follow some pre-Holi skincare tips, then it shouldn't be that difficult to remove Holi colours from all over your body.

Scrub And Rub

Removing Holi colour from all over your body is a huge task. After you've washed and scrubbed your body multiple times, here's what you can do.

In a big bowl, add 3-4 tbsp. besan, 2 1/2 tbsp cream (malai) and mix it well. Make sure the mixture feels extremely sticky, otherwise you can add 1/2 tbsp. malai. Apply this on your arm, let it sit for 10-15 seconds and starts rubbing it in the opposite growth of your body hair. Apply and rub it all over your body in the same way and we bet there will be no traces of colour on your body.

Soak It Up

Another very simple way to remove Holi colours from your skin is by applying soaked amchur (dry mango) powder all over your body. In a bowl, add 3-5 tbsp. of amchur powder and 1-2 tbsps of lemon juice. Mix it well and apply the paste to your body. Keep it for 15 minutes and then take a shower.
