When we think of skincare, we instantly think of only the face, not realising that our whole body is covered with skin. Just like your face, the skin on your booty is also prone to breakouts, dryness and flakiness. Today, we're going to teach how to look after your booty and make sure that it stays soft, smooth and flawless at all times! Let's get right to it!
If you follow these golden steps, we bet you'll have the shiniest booty in town!
On damp skin, apply some body wash. Make sure that you slather the product not only on your buttcheeks but in between the intergluteal cleft as well. You see, sometimes the dirt, bacteria and product residue tend to collect there, and if nor cleaned, you could suffer from an infection or butt acne. For the sake of hygiene, apply body wash there too.
After applying the body wash, grab a loofah and get scrubbin'. Scrub in slow, circular motions. Regular exfoliation gets rid of dead skin cells and grime on the skin. Plus, it stimulates blood production in the area too (Which helps to give your booty a healthy flush of colour) Wipe the booty with a cotton towel after.
To make the butt smooth, soft and firmer, apply a butt mask. If you don't have a butt mask product at home, make one from scratch by using a 1 cup of cocoa butter and 1 tbsp of rose water. Cocoa butter will smoothen the skin's texture, and rose water will soothe the skin from existing inflammation. Rest on your tummy while the mask dries up. After 40 minutes, wash it off with lukewarm water. If all this sounds like an effort, put a sheet mask on it!
Note: If you have an oil booty, try masking it with fuller's earth, honey and rose water. Since clay absorbs excess oil, it will do a great job at taking care of that.
By now, your butt must be feeling smooth and soft. To add an extra dose of hydration, apply moisturiser all over that booty. Look for nourishing ingredients such as avocado, papaya, hyaluronic acid, green tea, cucumber and honey.
How you would apply oil to your face to lock in all that moisture, do the same for your booty. You can use rosehip, olive, jojoba oil or avocado oil to seal the moisture. Be careful of going overboard though as the oil can clog pores and give rise to breakouts.
While the booty mask and exfoliation step you can do twice a week, but cleansing, moisturising, and oiling, every single day is important not only for that booty glow but its health as well. We hope you found this skincare routine for your booty helpful.
