Holi Makeup Looks That Will Help You Stand Out

Holi is just a few days away, so you know what that means—drenching others (and yourself) in water and colour and having a good time with friends and family. Holi also marks the start of spring and a time for new beginnings so while you’re out making changes to your life, don’t forget to revamp your makeup bag as well. Since it’s the new season, it’s time to put your winter makeup looks away and embrace your Holi makeup looks. So, keep those boring neutrals and monochromes at bay and add a splash of colour to your makeup.

It doesn't matter whether or not you choose to participate in the Holi festivities, these Holi makeup looks are perfect for spring.

Cosmic Crush

Forget about your normal highlighters, the beginning of spring calls for something extra special. Your makeup for Holi should include embracing that holographic glow. Just a dab of these pearlescent illuminating sparkles will add that spring magic to your Holi makeup look. Plus, its light-as-air formula will keep your skin feeling fresh all day long.

Fake The Flush

Add a bit of pink to your face and we’re not talking about the Holi colour. Nothing says spring than rosy cheeks. For your Holi makeup opt for shades like peach, pink and coral blush colours that will help you achieve that glow just in time for summer. But you don’t need to apply it all over your face. Just smile and dab a bit on the apples of your cheeks to get that flushed look.

Seeing Red

Holi is also known as the festival of love so for your Holi makeup embrace the spirit by wearing shades of red on your lips. It’s sure to get your crush’s attention in no time. If you want to bring out your inner seductress, a swipe of blood-red lipstick will do the job or if you want to get into that boss mode, an orange-red lipstick shade will do the trick.

Neon Madness

Neon is one of the trending colours this season but if you’re not brave enough to sport neon makeup, then we suggest embracing the trend by adding neon shades to your fingers. Think about it: Vibrant shades of fluorescent yellow, pink and blue, will definitely make you a trendsetter.

Blue Blood

There’s no reason why you shouldn’t rock Pantone’s Colour Of The Year for your Holi makeup! This year has been all about blue so be a risk-taker and dress your eyes with shades of blue. You could go for a subtle Holi makeup look and wear a thin blue line on your upper lash line or take a hint from Maisie Williams at Paris Fashion Week and create a dramatic blue eye makeup look by rocking a winged liner along with blue on the lower lash. Complete your look with blue mascara.
