The best way to skin fast is to stick to just plain water, moisturiser, and sunblock. Whether you are someone who follows a skincare routine diligently or is new to skincare, taking a break from products will give your skin a chance to produce its oils and repair itself. Not to mention, skin fasting helps with your products not becoming ineffective as your body gets used to your skincare routine.
Come to think of it, over-cleansing can also dry out your skin and strip it from its natural oils. Hence, once in a way, skin fasting is good for maintaining your skin's health and natural oils.
Pro Tip: Along with moisturising and applying sunblock regularly, don't forget to drink plenty of water. It will flush away the toxins and reward your skin with a healthy glow.
Dr. Kiran also encourages us to take a break from beauty supplements. As long as you eat healthily and rest well, you don't need to take supplements every day.
