Kerry Washington Wears Ultra Violet Eyes At Golden Globes 2018

The 75th Golden Globe Awards held on January 7, 2018 in California was much more than just a dazzling affair where the attendees flaunted some of the hottest makeup trends of the season like violet eyes. The event turned its focus on solemnity in recognition of the #MeToo movement. Most of the celebs at the red carpet chose to be dressed in black in a show of solidarity for the mission of anti-sexual harassment against women around the globe.

The red carpet, as always, was a much-anticipated affair and despite the lack of colours, and perceptions about black gowns and dresses at an award show being labelled as boring or safe by critics—the divas didn’t disappoint. There Golden Globes red carpet had several show-stopping moments which will be talked about for a long time.

Golden Globes this year had another twist as many correspondents covering the red carpet were interested in asking the celebs why were they wearing black rather than who they were wearing. Among the attendees who showed up in black were Angelina Joli, Jennifer Aniston, Dakota Johnson, Kendall Jenner, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Gal Gadot, Halle Berry, Mariah Carey, Zoe Kravitz, Issa Rae, Zuri Hall and many more.

Kerry Washington of Scandal fame made an appearance in a lovely black, off-shoulder Prabal Gurung gown but what made us sit up and look was her striking eye makeup. Kerry wore Pantone's Colour of the Year, Ultra Violet on her eyes and completely rocked the look. Her violet eyes immediately grabbed the paparazzi’s attention along with fashion and beauty enthusiasts. Kerry got a 10/10 from the fashion critics for her pretty and mesmerising violet eyes which made her look absolutely stunning on the red carpet.

The Django Unchained star wore purple eyeshadow on the upper and lower eyelids which made her eyes pop. Long lashes further accentuated her beautiful violet eyes makeup giving a doll-like appearance. Voluminous beach waves, styled into a side parting, framed her radiant face rounded off with nude, glossy lips. Kerry chose to keep the rest of her makeup muted and subtle so that her violet eyes can stand out. Her carefully curated look, right from the makeup, to hair and ensemble has hit all the right notes and was a complete knockout. There were many other noteworthy beauty looks at the Golden Globes 2018, but Kerry’s look is definitely topping our chart.
